Community Care Needs for Adults with Learning Disabilities

Following on from the positive responses from commissioning agencies, JLS Consultancy is now able to provide Assessments of Community Care Needs in respect of adults with learning disabilities which comply with The National Health Service & Community Care Act 1990.

These assessments follow the National Service Framework for the Assessment of Vulnerable Adults and their Families which stresses the importance of an assessment balancing the pressures and supports in a family’s environment, and the individual’s subjective experience of their circumstances.

The philosophy of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990, in that Community Care generally means helping people who need care and support to live with dignity and independence in the community, or in some cases, special needs housing or residential or nursing homes, also underpins this assessment methodology.
