About JLS Consultancy Services

Our organisation provides a network of qualified and experienced independent social worker practitioners and psychologists, who are able to undertake a wide range of work with children and their families.

All our practitioners have significant expertise in their respective fields of practice, with many years of post-qualifying experience. Our team understands the need for expert witnesses to provide evidentially based assessments and conform to the Handbook of Best Practice in Children Act Cases issued by The Children Act Advisory Committee 1997 in relation to Public Law Proceedings, the Code of Guidance for Expert Witnesses in Family Proceedings.

Cases are allocated according to the individual skills and experience of the practitioner. Throughout the process we provide professional supervision or consultancy and written reports are discussed with the Directors before they are submitted to the commissioning organisation.

Our professionals have all undertaken extensive training in order to maintain and update their knowledge and skills and are registered with the regulatory body for social work, the General Social Care Council, as well as through their own professional organisations such as the British Association of Social Workers, British Psychological Society, Professional Association of Family Court Advisors and Independent Social Work Consultants.
